Common questions

The ones we are asked most, answered here.

My code has not arrived. What should I do?

Give it two minutes first. Most codes land well inside that, and reporting earlier only spends a number on a problem that is about to solve itself.

After two minutes the “No code?” button on your number becomes available. Tap it and we will either tell you what is likely wrong or move you to a different number.

Does it matter where I am connecting from?

Yes, and this is the single most common reason a code never turns up.

Many services will not send an SMS when your connection appears to be in a different country from the number you gave them. From their side it looks like an account being created from somewhere other than where the phone is, which is exactly the pattern their fraud checks are built to stop.

What happens when I report a missing code?

If your connection country and the number do not match, we tell you first, because reconnecting is faster than starting over.

Otherwise we move you to a different number at no extra cost. You can do that twice.

How do I get a phone number?

Open “Get Number” from the sidebar, pick your country and service, then choose a one-time number or a rental. Once you confirm, the number is yours straight away.

What is the difference between one-time and rental numbers?

A one-time number is for a single verification code, usually to register an account. Once the code arrives, that number has done its job.

A rental stays yours for a set period — hourly, daily or weekly — and receives as many messages as you need during that time. It can also be used across several services.

How long does it take to receive an SMS?

Most codes arrive within one to two minutes.

Each activation has a countdown shown on the card. When it runs out with nothing received, the activation closes and refunds itself without you having to ask.

Can I get a refund?

For any activation where no message arrived, yes — automatically when the countdown runs out, or immediately if you cancel it yourself.

As long as nothing has been received, the refund is yours. There is no time limit on asking.

How do I add funds to my account?

Open Credits from the sidebar, set the amount you want to add, and pay by card. Your balance updates as soon as the payment clears.

The minimum top-up is $10.00 and the maximum is $500.00 per transaction.

Nothing here answers it

A person reads every ticket. Include the number and the service you were verifying, and you get a reply rather than a template.
